Sucraid Therapeutic Trial

It may sometimes be clinically inappropriate, difficult, or inconvenient to perform a small bowel biopsy or breath hydrogen test to make a definitive diagnosis of CSID.

If the diagnosis of CSID is in doubt, it may be warranted to conduct a short therapeutic trial (e.g. one week) with Sucraid® to assess response in a patient suspected of sucrase deficiency.

A therapeutic trial can be prescribed simply by completing a Sucraid® prescription (Please see PI for dosage and administration). Through our specialty pharmacy partner, IVP Care, we provide full patient and caregiver support with 24/7 pharmacists, direct shipping and reimbursement services. These pharmacists will guide the patient, family and caregivers through the therapeutic trial process, counsel for correct administration and monitor results if required.

The effects of Sucraid® have not been evaluated in patients with secondary (acquired) disaccharidase deficiencies.
